How The 2,500 CFM Dehumidifier Works

Models like the OCDH-2500 draw out moisture with desiccants — absorbent materials that attract water. A powerful fan serves as the intake for the surrounding air and passes it through the desiccating agent, a large rotor inside the unit. This wheel spins constantly and receives a secondary heated air stream to help expel water vapor into the collection area for draining. In turn, the warm air also helps dry out the desiccant for continued performance. Once the air is dry, the dehumidifier discharges it back into the surrounding area.
