How The 500-Ton Cooling Tower Works

Our 500-ton cooling tower system operates with four main components:

  • Tower

  • Fan

  • Recirculating pump

  • Fill material

A machine’s system generates excess heat, and the cooling tower utilizes water to remove the hot air and cool it through evaporation.

Water enters the process system and travels over the tower, past the air, creating the evaporative cooling effect. The heat effectively moves from the water into the air, where it generates rising temperatures and humidity.

The water cools from the evaporation, and then the recirculating pump drives the cooled water back to the process system, where the cycle continues.
