How The 325 CFM Dehumidifier Works

Refrigerant-style dehumidifiers like the LGR 7000XLi rely on internal refrigeration and an intake to operate. By drawing the surrounding air in and across a cooling coil, the equipment forces condensation. The resulting moisture drips into the collecting basin and through the drain hose. The air passing through the unit undergoes a reheating process before discharging into the surroundings.

These refrigerant-powered models cycle on and off according to the relative humidity (RH) level a user sets. Dehumidifiers measure the RH with a humidistat and automatically operate to achieve the selected RH. Additional sensors help the equipment monitor its performance and adapt to a more extensive range of operating temperatures and ambient RH levels.
