Summary:
This position works in the parts warehouse and maintains heavy equipment and engine parts inventory for the needs of servicemen and customers. The individual will work closely with both on their parts needs and handle parts orders for them as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Takes care of parts orders for customers and servicemen either in person, on the phone, or on the computer.
• Maintains parts inventory levels for the warehouse and orders stock from other locations and CAT as needed.
• Assists in the warehouse with picking and packing of parts orders, making hoses, shipping, and receiving, and forklift use and delivery as needed.
• Follows safe working practices and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborates with supervisor to follow a career development plan.
• Maintains personnel timecards.
• Communicates effectively with and works harmoniously and constructively with other employees and customers.
• Attends all required training classes.
• Follows clear verbal and written instructions.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Locates and uses service literature and/or technical information.
• Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systems.
• Operates various types of cleaning equipment under supervision.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of warehouse and inventory experience. Some of this experience should be in a mechanical parts environment, preferably with knowledge and experience with CAT heavy equipment and diesel engine parts.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications, and database usage required.
• Communication skills necessary, both verbal and written.

Physical Requirements:
Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling. Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
