How the 150 kW Electric Heater Works

Electric heaters rely on electrical resistors to generate their heat. Once you power up the heater, the electrical current flows to the heating coils inside. These coils act as resistors that help control the current’s flow to maintain the desired heat level. The current becomes heat as it passes through the resistor.

In convection heaters like this one, a well-built blower helps circulate the hot air. A belt-driven motor powers the blower, producing higher revolutions per minute (RPM) to create a quieter, more efficient heating experience. Our model uses a plenum fan for high-capacity air movement. These fans send out high volumes of air in multiple directions simultaneously. Optional intake flanges draw in cooler ambient air, and the process begins again.
