Need us to come out to your jobsite for your inspection? No problem, our Cat Certified Field Service Technicians are equipped to perform your inspections wherever you need us. In addition, we’ll cover up to 100 miles of roundtrip travel time and mileage fees to and from your nearest Ohio Cat location.*
All Excavator inspections will include a hydraulic tune up and adjustment. Schedule your TA/2 Inspection for your Cat Hydraulic Excavator and our Cat Certified Technicians will perform a complete hydraulic tune up at no additional cost.
*Inspection refund only applicable when recommended repair costs total exceeds $15,000 or more. Only available if inspection and recommended repairs are performed and serviced by Ohio Cat, field or in-shop service qualifies. When electing to perform field service inspections, up to 100 roundtrip miles from your nearest Ohio Cat location will be covered, any additional mileage and travel time fees associated with your field service work will be included in your total inspection costs.
Our T/A 2 Inspections include S•O•S oil sample testing and results from all fluid compartments, conducted by our in-house Fluid Analysis Team. Additionally, receive a written report and analysis of the following systems and tests prescribed:
COMPLETE WALK-AROUND INSPECTION:
During your complete walk around inspection, a Cat Certified Technician will perform a thorough examination of your overall machine condition, checking for any signs of leaks, worn components, damaged glass and tin wear, as well as a complete inspection of machine’s articulating joints and linkage pins and bushings.
ENGINE COMPONENTS:
Your Cat Certified Technician will perform crankcase, oil and fuel pressure tests as well as test the performance of your machine’s cooling system for optimal coolant flow. Additionally, your machine will undergo procedures to test and check for dirt and debris entry into engine air intake, turbocharger boost, high and low idle with stall RPM, and radiator top and bottom tank temperature tests.
TRANSMISSION & TORQUE CONVERTER:
Following a visual inspection of linkage, lubrication pressure and operation, transmission hydraulic control pressures and steering clutch pressures tests will be performed, as well as clutch engagement and brake operation.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM:
Lastly, your Cat Certified Technician will perform tests to ensure your machine hydraulic system relief and margin pressures, cycle times, and cylinder drift rates meet OEM specifications.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:
An electrical system performance test will be performed to help pinpoint any possible concerns resulting from alternator output, starter draw and monitoring system operational tests. A visual examination of all harnesses, cables and connections will be conducted to ensure all electrical components are at OEM specifications.
