JOB SUMMARY:
The Power Systems, Electric Power Specialist provides comprehensive, technical problem-solving assistance to our employees and customers alike in the generator/power generation, switchgear and electrical markets. They will analyze, research, develop, design, organize, and help implement solutions to ensure customer satisfaction in these markets. They will provide technical information support inside and outside of the company, with frequent in-territory travel expected. They will assist with the development and delivery of career path training for service technicians. Effectiveness in this role is dependent upon competency in and knowledge of technical functional areas, practices, and process, building successful relationships, establishing credibility, and providing solutions to complex problems for customers, employees, and managers.

- Possess analytical decision-making skills and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize work based on customer requirements, while obtaining service goals and objectives.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a fully accredited college in a closely related field.
- A minimum of seven years of directly related experience and/or training in the power generation industry with Caterpillar experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of Caterpillar power generation products and OEM equipment, operations, and parts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will have a combination of tasks assigned in the office, Service shop, training room and in the field (outside and within customer locations). The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
