JOB SUMMARY:
The Account Administrator is responsible for providing support to the customer, acting as a liaison between the customer and the intercompany department. Account Administrator monitors customers’ accounts and analyzes credit activity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Answers questions about invoices, payments, and billing statements.
  • Acts as liaison between customer and internal departments.
  • Reconciling account balances, processing transactions, and answering basic client questions.
  • Approves the release of orders for over-the-limit accounts.
  • Evaluates and adjusts customer credit limits to support sales volume.
  • Supports and participates in Ohio Machinery’s quality standards with a continuous focus on customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college is preferred.
  • One to three years of collection experience/account management or entry-level accounting clerk experience is required.
  • Must have good analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, including Microsoft applications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and the abilities to exchange information both verbally as well as through written communication as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
